Get your next business book noticed with a great cover design.

Having a business book or ebook is a great way to create interest in your business as a giveaway, a sales generation tool or an additional revenue stream as a few examples.

But what happens when the cover design is created by the writer or business owner? Well, usually those people are not graphic designers, so, most of the time the end results are flat and way off the mark. It makes no difference how good the content is if the cover doesn't work. It could be the best book ever written but if it lacks design skill, you'll be left wondering why it's not working for you.

There are lots of analogies that can be used to illustrate the benefits of using skilled and experienced suppliers, over doing things yourself, or cutting corners and yet people still ignore the merits of hiring the right people for the task at hand. For example, would you hire a plumber to fix your car engine fault or a doctor to build a house?

First impressions do count, so do yourself (and your intended audiences) a favour and hire a book designer for your next business book and vastly increase the prospects of your publication being read and valued.

If you’re in the process of publishing a business book and are thinking about the cover, take a step back and ask yourself, “do I have the skills to do this justice and get my book noticed for the right reasons?”.

I regularly use this tagline at networking events when promoting my book design services: 'A picture paints a thousand words but a great cover sells them' to illustrate the fact that whilst an image conveys information, a great design will be far more effective.
