I recently attended a talk and workshop on business sustainability run by Sustainable Business Design and Green Spark Marketing at Stroud Brewery.

Sustainable Business Design is a client of mine, having designed a pop-up roller banner for Eoin, the director, to use at events and talks. As I run a green business and promote sustainability to my clients, I wanted to attend the event for a fuller understanding of sustainability for business and how I and my clients can be more sustainable.

I learned that an amazing 29% of UK GDP comes from nature - a whopping 761 billion pounds of revenue (Research carried out by DEFRA) and those are incredible figures that prove that nature is a vital business concern. I’m passionate that all business should do as much as possible to protect the planet, so these are undeniable figures that will hopefully help my clients and the people I network with to be better to the environment.

One of the key points to take away from the event is that sustainability is great for business.

Stroud Brewery is a brilliant local independent brewery, producing their unique craft beer, whilst running a sustainable business model, with a restaurant and bar space and event rooms. They have created a great community space for people to enjoy their beer and locally produced wines and refreshments, with regular entertainment and community events and rooms available to hire for talks and workshops.
